This corten steel sphere sculpture features a full, rounded shape and a warm orange-brown surface. Its simple geometry creates a strong visual presence without adding unnecessary detail. The smooth-looking silhouette contrasts with the subtle variations in the weathered steel finish, giving the sphere a natural, earthy character.

Seamless Surface, Careful Welding
We roll and shape the corten steel plates into curved panels, then weld them into a hollow sphere. Each weld line gets ground and polished until it disappears. The finished surface runs smooth and even, with no visible joints. The corten steel sphere sculpture keeps its true round shape from every angle, so the form looks clean in any light.

Natural Rust Patina with Subtle Tonal Variation
We develop the rust finish in our workshop, carefully controlling the patina by hand. Shades of orange and soft brown blend across the curved surface, creating natural tonal variations. Each corten steel sculpture has its own character. Once the patina reaches the desired appearance, we apply a protective sealer to help reduce rust runoff and maintain a more consistent finish.

During the initial weathering period, rainwater may still carry rust residue onto nearby surfaces. We recommend placing the sphere on gravel or another well-drained surface to help manage runoff and protect surrounding paving.

Versatile Placement for Outdoor Spaces
Place this corten steel sphere sculpture on a gravel bed, beside a pond, or at the end of a stone pathway. Its warm rust finish pairs naturally with greenery, stone, and modern architecture, making it suitable for villa gardens, hotel grounds, office plazas, and public parks. Group two or three spheres in different sizes to create visual rhythm and depth across a landscape.

Mily can adjust the sphere’s diameter, steel thickness, and rust tone to suit different settings. Share your site photos and preferred dimensions with our team for size recommendations and a factory-direct quote.
