This fairy dandelion sculpture captures a fairy mid-leap, one leg kicked back and the other bent for balance. Her raised arm holds a long curved stem. It stretches out to a full dandelion seed head on one end. A few loose seeds trail off it, as if the wind just pulled them free. Her hair sweeps back in fine wire strands. Both wings spread open behind her shoulders, catching light through their mesh pattern.
Every wrapped section of her body — arms, torso, legs — shows tight, even wire coils. These coils pick up sharp highlights under direct light, and that’s the signature look of the mirror polish finish.
Wire Weaving Technique Behind the Design
Our welders build this fairy dandelion sculpture from a steel skeleton first, bent into this exact running pose. They wrap layers of fine wire around it by hand, building up the muscle lines visible in the arms and legs. The wings start as a thin steel frame. A fine wire mesh gets welded across it point by point, giving the surface enough rigidity to hold its open shape outdoors.
The dandelion head takes the most time on this piece. Each wire seed attaches individually around a curved metal base. Light passes through the sphere the same way it passes through a real dandelion in the wind, and that detail is what makes this fairy dandelion sculpture feel alive instead of static.
